YOUTH/STUDENT MINISTRIES PASTOR Freshwater Community Church - Saint Bonifacius, MN About Freshwater Church: Freshwater Church is a Christian Missionary Alliance church in St. Bonifacius, MN, with a multi-site campus in Waconia, and a bilingual campus in Glencoe. All five services are nearly identical, both for children and adults (except Freshwater bilingual). Freshwater exists to reach non-believing individuals, connect them with other Christians, help them grow in their faith, challenge the growing to serve others, and honor God with their life. Our weekly average church-wide attendance is between 800-1000, and we are growing from week-to-week. Our Student Ministries meets at the Waconia campus location, and is growing at a fast pace (with approximately 100 students in weekly attendance) and is in a very healthy place with an amazing core team of leaders and a proven teaching system and programming calendar. Job Title: Student Ministries Pastor Accountable To: Executive Pastor Position Status: Full Time Salary Direct Reports: Student Ministry Interns Job Summary: The role of the Student Ministries Pastor is to lead the student ministries and advance the vision of Freshwater. Job Responsibilities: Student Ministry ? Care for the members, attenders, and prospects of the student ministry through providing leadership. ? Oversight of two distinct ministry age groups (6th - 8th & 9th -12th) which has 90-110 students every week ? Create and maintain an effective ministry budget. ? Create a master calendar detailing student lesson plans. ? Organize local and international mission opportunities for all students annually. ? Disciple students ? Recruit and lead volunteer teams utilizing Freshwater's leadership pipeline. ? Create and maintain a consistent meeting & training schedules with volunteers. ? Effectively communicate with students and parents on a consistent basis. ? Leverage social media to advance Student ministry. ? Plan & follow through on outreach events designed to reach students for Christ. ? Attend student conferences with students. ? Implement the assimilation strategy for guest students ? Create annual S.M.A.R.T. Goals. Pastoral ministry ? Perform weddings and funerals as required. ? Counsel individuals and couples. ? Mentor adults. ? Participate in a small group ? Carry out Sunday morning responsibilities assigned. ? Maintain all required data points in the ministry scorecard (conversions, recommitments, attendance, number of leaders, number of outreach events) General Duties ? Prepare monthly staff report to Executive Pastor ? Attend weekly staff meetings ? Complete assigned projects/tasks given by supervisor ? Work as a team with other staff ? Maintain set office hours ? Attend at least one worship service every week unless on vacation. ? Conduct annual reviews of Student Ministry volunteers. ? Represent Freshwater in the community through participation in community events and activities. ? Provide solid administration to ensure the ministry is effective and efficient. Job Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher Five years experience or more Theological alignment with Freshwater Key Deliverables Master Schedule ? Create an annual teaching calendar with outlined lesson plans ? Create clear learning objectives. This is the biblical knowledge the students will have after participating in Student Ministries for the year. ? Communicate master calendar with leaders so they are prepared ? Create an incredible environment ? Create a culture of inviting ? Spirit-filled worship time ? Be prepared to deliver messages that connect with students ? Implement the assimilation plan Events ? Host 1 big event at Freshwater each quarter. This will be a sleep-over, concert, outreach service project, or have a hang out night. ? Present the Gospel on at least 12 occasions throughout the year ? Ensure we have a reasonable leader/student ratio for all trips ? Ensure the safety of all students at every function and event. ? Promote Freshwater events at Student Ministry ? Recruit volunteers - Assist with Freshwater events through the recruitment of volunteers as directed Leadership Development Volunteers ? Adhere to and advance the Leadership Pipeline. ? Have all new volunteers fill out application and do an interview to ensure they will be a good fit with vision and purpose of Freshwater Student Ministries. ? Communicate openly and consistently with all volunteers through the web page, facebook, and text messaging. ? Empower volunteers, providing opportunities to teach and lead ? Encourage volunteers on a regular basis - ? Conduct annual volunteer evaluations Pastoral Ministry Training ? Attend the monthly CMA Youth Pastors meetings ? Read staff books as chosen by church leadership ? Participate in staff meetings ? Participate in team building events General Calendars ? Make sure that all calendars are up to date and easy to read ? Make sure calendars are accessible to everyone ? Make sure facebook group is current and comments are screened removing inappropriate ones. Parents ? Effectively communicate with parents ? Hold an annual parent meeting ? Meet with parents on a regular basis Position Structure and Level: Salary: Compensation is commensurate with experience. The minimum starting base pay is $38,000. Strong benefits package available.
