Associate Pastor – Full Time Washington Alliance Church Washington, PA United States Church Size: 350-500 and growing Job Description: PURPOSE The Associate Pastor will be responsible to promote the spiritual growth and relationship connections within the congregation of the Washington Alliance Church. The secondary strategic objective will be to bring oversight for the church staff and church processes. RESPONSIBILITIES • Church Processes – Oversee and manage church systems • Pastoral Staff – Assist them in accomplishing their vision (provide resources to support and encourage), define goals. • Oversee financial operations, facilities management, administrations, information technology, HR administration, support staff and special projects. • Missions Program Management – Oversee Mission Fund and provide updates to congregation on funds used • Spiritual Formation Process – Be able to and establish a clear pathway and steps/classes/groups and opportunities for adults to follow as we equip and point them to spiritual maturity. • Leadership of Adult Ministries – Provide leadership for all ministry teams as a direct report. • Life Groups – Be able to recruit, train and multiply our life group leaders to ensure health, balance and number of groups available • Volunteers – Implement a plan for recruiting, connecting and training volunteers • Preaching and Teaching • Assist Lead Pastor in development of ministry objectives and strategic planning • Assist Lead Pastor in informational collection and decision making in designated areas, including the business direction for the church • Communicate Elder Board decisions with all staff personnel • Ensure proper communication and implementation of the Board of Ministry decisions • Attend Staff meetings, ensure proper communication and implementation of decisions made at staff meetings QUALIFICATIONS A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and passionate relationship with Him that is evident to all who know him. Consistent spiritual and moral character and lifestyle that complies with Biblical qualifications as described in 1 Timothy 3:1-13 and Titus 1:7-9 • Agreement with The Alliance doctrine, mission, vision and values • Relationally, a person magnet that draws people into ministry • Spiritual gift mix of leadership, teaching and administration • Competent in organization, administration and interpersonal skills • Balanced view of evangelism and discipleship, as well as knowledge and application • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with widely diverse groups of people • Minimum of 3-5 years ministry experience • Current clearances (background checks) • Currently credentialed with the Alliance If interested in this position, please send your resume along with three (3) references to: email@example.com
