Position title: Assistant Director of Discipleship - Young Adults PLEASE SEE POSITION JOB DESCRIPTION AND INITIAL INTERVIEW QUESTIONS AT www.cccomaha.org/jobs. The person has a heart for discipling young adults (21-36), including those transitioning from college, singles, and married couples, to become fully devoted followers of Jesus. This person will implement CCC’s strategy of reaching and shepherding young adults in the Omaha metro area. In addition, this person will partner in the overall adult ministry strategy of discipleship. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES • Implement the Young Adult Ministry Strategy (50%) - Launch, develop, and multiply young adult small groups, including new connection groups (Seeker/Foundations/DNA). - Disciple young adults through one-on-one mentoring. - Train and mentor leaders to equip them to lead and mentor others. - Develop, grow, and lead a young adult leadership team. - Connect and empower young adults to serve and lead within the church. • Partner with the Adult ministries team (25%) - Oversee Baptism Orientations and Baptism weekend details. - Create and implement outreach events. - Participate in group leader development. - Develop content and teach in classes, training venues and mid-size groups. • Partner with the Residency Team for annual recruitment of residents. (5%) • Church-wide responsibilities (meetings, staff prayer, on-call ministry, hospital visitation, etc.). (10%) SKILLS AND BACKGROUND • Proven experience and passion to reach seekers and make disciples in one-on-one and small group relationships. • A passion to engage and disciple young adults through relevant teaching, effective evangelism, and authentic group environments where they thrive and connect with one another in community. • The knowledge and experience to develop and train small group leaders as well as facilitate a large network of small groups in a growing church. • A magnetic, outgoing personality who loves to engage those they don’t know and connect deeply with people they do know, all with the ultimate goal of making disciples. • The ability to work on a team and collaborate with others. • Humility, Godly character, and a commitment to the classic disciplines of the Christian faith (prayer, bible study, etc.) • A doctrinal alignment with the core beliefs of the Christian and Missionary Alliance (http://www.cmalliance.org/about/beliefs/doctrine) • Bachelor’s degree required (at least 30 hours of Bible from a bible college or seminary) • Currently (or able to be) licensed and ordained/consecrated in the Christian and Missionary Alliance (https://www.cmalliance.org/serve/qualifications) • 5+ years of experience with extensive experience in discipling people in a growing church.
