Standards Definition of employment status This is a part time position which will require approximately 10-15 hours a week. The youth pastor will be responsible for his own transportation. The youth minister must have a personal testimony (statement of faith). Duties and responsibilities Each week, the youth minister would be expected to participate in Sunday morning services, a mid-week session for middle and high school youth, participating in leadership team meetings and other duties as assigned. The youth/children’s minister would be responsible for coordinating children’s church curriculum and volunteers for children’s church. And as needed, the youth/children minister will participate in Children’s church. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities The youth minister should have theological training at an approved post-secondary educational institution or related experience with Christian youth ministry or a fundamental protestant church. Must have a proven track record of lifestyle evangelism, discipleship and should be capable of training others in those skills. Must be teachable and willing to teach others. Accountability The youth minister shall be directly responsible to the Senior Pastor and to the Leadership and ultimately God. He will report monthly to the Leadership Board. A monthly stipend will be provided. A furnished one bedroom apartment is also available for the youth pastor. Contact: Reid Pratt 719-459-6287
