Eastern PA District of THE ALLIANCE Operations Specialist The Alliance is a Christ-centered global movement that is passionate about bringing the good news of Jesus to our neighborhoods and world. As a district we are looking for a partner on our team that will catalyze development, pursue generous excellence, and lead proactively. OVERVIEW: As the Operations Specialist, you’ll be the manager of the finances, human resources, administrative and physical operations of the district. The Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing and caretaking of the business of the Eastern PA District including accounts, budgets, investments, policies, benefits, equipment, legal affairs, church consultations, and facilities. The Operations Specialist is expected to be a highly detailed and proactive worker; taking the initiative to help design and implement an operational strategy that promotes a nimble and accountable organization. You are expected to be collaborative in this process, working with the District Team to develop an intimate understanding of the vision in order to best curate our operational practices. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Collaboratively develop and execute an operations strategy that effectively represents the vision and values of our district (e.g. accounting, budgeting, internal processes, HR management, investments, facility care, church consulting, legal, and IT/equipment) - Lead the Administrative Specialist in the areas of payroll, bookkeeping, and financial reporting - Lead the Budget and Investment Committee - Develop and maintain a process for creating an annual budget and annual review/audit - Quarterly report to DEXCOM on district finances including Eastern PA Partnership income and church Alliance Missions giving - Oversee the human resources of our district including payroll, benefits, and policies - Serve as the administrator of district business (e.g. bylaws, legal, council committees, national office requirements, business meetings) - Oversee/care for the needs of the physical office including building maintenance and equipment - Consult with churches on finance, administrative, bylaw, and building/loan issues on an as needed basis - Assist the Executive Director with IT and other operational tasks BASIC REQUIREMENTS: - Clear articulation of personal faith in Jesus and an affinity for the philosophy of ministry of the District (i.e. Gospel development) - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, engineering or a similar technical discipline (or equivalent work experience) - Hands-on experience in business administration or executive leadership - Knowledge of Office 365 and accompanying software PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: - Experience with developing an organization-wide operations strategy - Detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills - Ability to demonstrate strong organizational skills, take initiative, and work independently as well as collaboratively - Creative in shaping a nimble and accountable organization - Established skills in strategic thinking, decision-making, and relationship-building - Experience in working with a highly effective and fast-moving organization TEAM DYNAMICS: - Directly reports to Executive Director - Member of the Operations Team COMPENSATION: Part-time, hourly (24 hours) with benefits CONTACT: Interested persons should submit cover letter, resume and accompanying materials to David.Dixon@epdalliance.org.
