Alliance New England

Pastoral Resident Christ Community Alliance Church in Orange, VT is seeking a pastoral resident. This residency provides the opportunity to cultivate the art of pastoral ministry, gain practical experience and develop key skills while serving a healthy congregation. Through the approximately two-year experience, the resident is immersed in the life and leadership of the church, with the opportunity to lead and develop ministries and serve alongside the senior pastor and lay leaders, all while building their foundation for service to the Church. This is all conducted with great intentionality, but also in a spirit of providing time and opportunity for observation, experiences, mentorship, and candid feedback. Ministry at Christ Community could involve working with young families, youth, college & career and worship ministries. If you are gifted or experienced in these areas, you are especially encouraged to apply. The residency is a full-time compensated position. Candidates should have a strong calling for pastoral leadership, a passion for helping churches in New England reach the unchurched, and a deep desire for mentored development. A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Bible, Pastoral Ministry or other ministry-related field is required. All candidates must be able to meet licensing and ordination requirements with the C&MA. At the completion of the residency, the intention is that the resident would seek and find placement in Alliance New England for further ministry. Nestled in the beautiful Green Mountains in the central region of Vermont, Christ Community Alliance Church is a vibrant church of about 100. The church is focused on “helping ordinary people walk with our extraordinary God in everyday life” and is active in the communities around them, meeting both physical and spiritual needs while building relationships with those far from God. To be considered for this position, please forward your resume and any accompanying materials to the New England District office of the C&MA, attention: Shelley Moulton Director, Leadership Development & Placement Alliance New England P.O.
