Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Friends,
We hope this letter finds you all safe and healthy while the world waits until the spread of Covid-19 is over. We are praying for God’s covering over all of our loved ones, all the medical professionals, and the many hurting people and families around the world affected by this virus. We encourage you to take the necessary precautions to minimize exposure and reduce your risk of infection.

Our home in Wellington, Florida has been rented out, and after finalizing paperwork and storing our things, we said goodbye to as many friends as we could and left Florida on March 26th. This turned out to be a real blessing because by the time we reached our son Ryan’s home in Mechanicsburg, PA, most states had invoked stay-at-home orders. We enjoyed hanging out with our grandchildren there, and spending time resting and recuperating from a crazy March. In May and June we spent time with Randy's family in the Kansas City area and our grandchildren & great-granddaughters in Denver. We then travelled into Wyoming, Idaho and Montana, before spending a week in Grand Junction, CO where we had planted River of Life Alliance Church. Finally, we saw our oldest son, Rob, in New Mexico and we are now staying with our daughter, Kiki, in the Houston, TX area.

After speaking with the Director of International Placement at the Alliance National office, we’re still on schedule at this point for departure to Uruguay in August to share the love of Jesus to those living in Montevideo. With that in mind, we want to explain how you can support us – both in prayer for our travels and safety and also financially. There are links (on the right of this page) for these ways to contribute:

1. Support Fund
Contributions given in this manner are placed in the Great Commission Fund (GCF) and cover our compensation. This includes salary, housing, and benefits. If you give this way through your local church or through the Alliance website, we will be informed of your name and gift amount.

2. Work Fund (Work Special)
Contributions made to this fund are used to support specific ministry projects we will be doing in Uruguay. We have been asked to raise a minimum of $2,260 so that we can purchase items such as a computer, and other supplies to be able to host events, lead small group meetings, teach Bible studies and teach English.

3. Outfit Fund
Contributions to this fund will be used for items to “outfit” our apartment in Montevideo with items such as appliances or home furnishings, etc. Since we’re limited in what we will bring in our luggage, we’ll need to buy many household items. We hope (and pray) to find a furnished apartment so that we don’t have to purchase furniture as well.

Thank you so much for your kindness to support us on this new journey – this new chapter in our lives. We are so grateful for your friendship and love as we make this transition. You are awesome!

With our Love,
Randy & Alicia
