Current Situation
Tokyo, the largest metropolitan area in the world (37million), has done a great job of containing the virus, but in December, the numbers began to spike and we are currently (January - March 7) in our second state of emergency. Japan is not as strict as some countries, but we are not to go out unless it is urgent and necessary. So, grocery shopping, hospital visit, work (if you are unable to work from home) and some schools have been permitted. Gatherings for church, Bible studies, Gospel Choirs... however, are all online, once again. But, just as we saw last spring, during the first stay-at-home order, we have once again seen God continue to work. Just last week we had a new family (mom, dad and two little kids) join us for online worship and Bible study!
Like many of you, we are very much looking forward to the day when we can see people face-to-face, but in the meantime, we continue to pray and know that God will use this for HIS good purpose!
Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer
Please pray for SHIOHAMA GATHERING (church plant), that this group of believers and seekers would continue to seek God and share him with our world.
GOD'S WORK AMONG THE JAPANESE - Please pray for a great outpouring of the Spirit in Japan, resulting in the salvation of many.
