Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

photo

Is it BIG EVENTS or little moments?
Sometimes it is both, like when Jesus was born. It was a pretty big event that all the Heavenly Hosts came to bring the Good News to the shepherds out in the field. Yet, when they had come and gone, Mary treasured these things in her heart. She had taken both the BIG and little and put them in a place to think about and consider, to remember and to take her through what would happen in the future.

This year our Sihhu Alliance Church's Christmas was our own, planned and executed without the aid of any other group, making it a smaller event, but for some it was a BIG event--an opportunity to perform a skit, to share a testimony or to celebrate Christmas for the first time as a newly baptized believer. These small things will be tucked away and treasured for years to come.

Those of us ministering in the rural, more resistant areas of Taiwan MUST treasure the little moments, the sparks, the connections, and the beginnings, because it is here that we find people who come to faith being the FIRST ever in their extended family to come to know Christ. The relationships are slowly developed to places of trust and life begins to be shared.
