Janice’s Praise Update December 26, 2019

Dear Friends,
We are completing a full season of outreach opportunities that have opened doors into our communities. My favorite event this season was an outreach I organized into a camp of Burmese and Cambodian construction workers living in temporary housing on our lane. For months they have been heavy on my heart as I have looked for an opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus to them. Jesus recently brought them to us, and I longed to reach out to them each time I walked down our lane and passed their humble dwellings. Christmas afforded such an opportunity!
On Christmas Eve and on Christmas Day, with the assistance of a Khmer speaking International Worker, we went to their simple community. We sang carols for them, brought 75 gifts, gospel tracts in the Khmer language, treats for the children and explained the true meaning of Christmas (with the IW translating for us). Our new neighbors listened attentively. They were so happy to receive gifts and really enjoyed the carol singing in their honor. We shared the joy of the Christmas message and are trusting this will open doors to further outreach opportunities.
I am especially grateful to those who contributed to my work fund, which made all this possible. You were an important part of our outreach to these disadvantaged migrant workers. When you care for the least of these, you have done it unto me, Jesus tells us!
My heart is overflowing this Advent season as I witness colleagues entering schools and neighborhoods to bring the true message of Christmas to those who have yet to join God’s family. I am so proud of them, my colleagues and my former students, and love seeing how they are being used to advance God’s kingdom here in Thailand.
Thank you for your prayers and trust you had a joyous Christmas as well.
Grateful to be His messenger in this needy land,

Janice L. Quinlan
