Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Dear Friends and Prayer Partners,

Thank you again for your continued prayers and support. While on home assignment, I have enjoyed many opportunities to share how God has been working in Mexico City, Mexico, as I live to share the hope a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ brings to our lives. Having lived and served in Mexico City for 10 years, I am beginning to see the fruit of deepening relationships for greater impact in training pastors and leaders who are called to serve in Mexico and throughout the world. Pray for greater opportunities to mentor and encourage leaders as they serve.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

1. Pray for God to continue to call and equip men and women to serve Him in Mexico City. Pray specifically for Gilberto and Laura, church planters in Mexico City. Pray for others who are responding to God's call on their lives and are exploring HOW to follow that calling: Alejandro, Rebecca and Chuy, Paulina, Sonia and others. Praise God for the vision and burden they have for the unreached people groups in Mexico!

2. Pray for our pastors and leaders to continue to boldly pray to the Lord of the harvest to send out more workers into the harvest. We have seen a movement of prayer and missions blowing across Mexico as mission and national leaders have partnered in the College of Prayer and the Kairos courses. Pray for continued revival in our hearts as we serve together. Praise God for a joint vision trip to two areas of Mexico where there is a need for a team to begin outreach into the communities. Pray for favor with the leaders of these communities where Christians are not welcome and creative ways to serve the communities in the name of Jesus.

3. Pray for more opportunities for partnering with like minded groups in providing theological training for those who desire to serve God in their communities and world. Pray for openness to consider alternative delivery sytems for training, such as online courses. Pray for our national leaders to see the need for training and for a healthy partnership relationship as together we consider how to best meet this need.

4. Pray with us as we dream and plan for continued opportunities to train our women leaders for more effective ministry. Thank you for praying for the training course for MOPS leaders. It went well, Gaileen reported. Please continue to pray for local churches to see the need to equip and train their leaders for engaging in Kingdom work.

5. Thank the Lord for the beginning of an International Bilingual School which serves our international workers and their families, as well as serves as a means of outreach to families in Mexico City. Please pray for financial provision as they struggle to meet financial obligations. Pray for God to provide qualified teachers and personnel for the Fall of 2019, as well. Pray for the new director of the school as he assumes leadership this summer.

6. Pray for the National Council Meeting of all pastors, leaders and international workers this next week, May 20-24. Pray for God's Spirit to move among them and bring unity of vision and a spirit of cooperation in the work of the Kingdom.

7. Pray for me as I finish tour ministries in the US and prepare to return to Mexico City on June 30. Please pray for God's provision of an apartment and for me to sense God's continued leading for how to best invest my life in this next term of service.

Thank YOU for giving to the Great Commission Fund and for praying!
