Christian Publications Inc. (CPI), the publishing house for The Alliance, has ceased all publishing and retail operations. CPI has been actively trying to sell its assets for more than a year, but there were not sufficient proceeds for it to remain viable. Consequently, CPI’s Board of Directors was forced to make the difficult decision to cease all operations.
C&MA leadership recently learned that CPI has been forced into involuntary bankruptcy by three of its creditors. National Office leaders are saddened by the predicament in which CPI and its creditors have found themselves, but unfortunately, the National Office is unable to do anything beyond what it already has done, either corporately or financially.
Dr. A. B. Simpson founded the Christian Alliance Publishing Company in 1883. Since then, Christian Publications Inc. has been known for its faithful biblical publishing and for its commitment to resourcing U.S. churches with quality tools for evangelism, discipleship, Christian education, and spiritual growth. Its closure is a sad loss to The Christian and Missionary Alliance family and to the greater evangelical community.
