Every patient that is treated at Bongolo Hospital in Gabon, West Africa, hears the gospel. Thousands now have a personal relationship with Jesus because of the compassionate care they have received as the good news is told. Last year, more than 1,000 people accepted Christ as their Savior through the hospital’s ministry.
Already in 2008, 530 patients have decided to follow Jesus and will be discipled in local churches when they return home. “Each week, an average of 30 people who receive treatment at the eye clinic are praying to receive Christ,” says Dr. Dave Thompson. “Pray for the hundreds who have come to Him [through each of the hospital’s ministries].
