FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Three Alliance schools are listed in the Top 50 Christian Colleges and Universities in the United States for the upcoming 2015–2016 academic year: Crown College (St. Bonifacius, Minn.), Toccoa Falls (Ga.) College, and Simpson University (Redding, Calif.)
Christian Universities Online (CUO), which conducted the ranking, seeks to highlight intentionally Christian colleges and universities that excel in categories of personal attention to their students, selectivity, readily available financial aid, and overall student satisfaction.
The methodology behind the ranking began with schools with enrollment of at least 500 students that have been accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools, the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities, or the Association of Christian Schools International. CUO then collected publicly available data for these schools in the following categories: faculty-to-student ratio, percent of full-time beginning undergraduates receiving grant or scholarship aid, selectivity, overall retention rate, and overall graduation rate. Each category received equal weight in calculating the final ranking.
The Alliance has a rich history of offering quality, Christian education in the United States and overseas. Alliance colleges and universities help to fully ground aspiring Christian leaders in our heritage, mission, vision, and convictions. These institutions of higher learning also train students in the deeper life and in missions, equipping them to disciple others and lead Great Commission churches.
There are now more than 100 Alliance Bible schools worldwide for the training of pastors and church leaders, including six Alliance education centers in the United States.
The Alliance is an evangelical denomination with a passion to introduce the love of God to suffering and disenfranchised people. It has 2,000 churches in the United States and 20,000 churches throughout the world.
