Update: Alliance Family in Syria

Thank you for praying for the Alliance family in Syria. We’ve received a report that all the pastors who were returning from a conference arrived home safely, despite traveling on some terrorist-controlled roads. Praise the Lord for this answer to prayer.

In addition, this update from the president of The Alliance in Syria included some sad news. A young man from a displaced family the local Alliance church supports regularly was killed last week outside the exam hall of his engineering college in Damascus. He had just finished his graduation exam.

We rejoice that through the church’s home-visits ministry, this young man came to know the Lord as his Savior, but please pray for divine comfort for his family members. They were looking forward to their only son’s upcoming graduation and are now grieving a terrible loss.

Also included in the report was news that dozens of bombshells fell last week in a neighborhood where the Alliance church operates a medical center. The area lost 11 people, and 40 were injured.

Pray

Continue to pray for the safety of Alliance people in Syria and for wisdom in ministering to their communities during these increasingly difficult times.
