Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

Hurricane season is officially here and we are already experiencing heavy rainfall. The drainage system on the island is so poor, that flooding and water damage are the most devastating events; we are grateful for a vehicle with 4 wheel drive. We remain active with our work in the church in Santo Domingo and have had many opportunities to meet and disciple the leadership. It has been very rewarding to see them implement and gain results from the ideas and experience we have shared from our many years of church work.

Mike and Brittany are working with the churches from all over the country in a youth event of about 200 teens for the weekend. We hope that many youth will find purpose in their lives and come to Christ. Ingrid, Nick and Cody attended a youth weekend of about 100 kids last month and 17 young children made professions of faith.

Mike continues his discipleship classes in the community and is enjoying seeing John (our Colombian neighbor who recently gave his life to Christ) grow in the Lord. Ingrid is in the middle of a ladies Bible study in the neighborhood with 5 women who have very difficult lives and are not Christians. Please pray that each of them will come to Christ by the end of this very powerful study. One of the women is Lilliana, John's wife, and she has been an atheist for many years. How wonderful it would be if she too would come to Christ and they would have a Christian marriage and family. Please pray believing with us.

We are so needful and grateful for your prayers and kind letters and support. We truly are leaning on the Lord, as these are difficult times and situations.
