Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

photo

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for praying for Pete’s trip to CO Springs
1) His ankle held up
2) He was able to network with many churches there. It was good to see some old friends that he hadn’t seen for a while, and to explain what Envision is doing around the world.
3) The kids and I did ok at home

Keep praying for
1) Arnolds and Dunns who are preparing to go to Burkina this summer, Wolters & Susan Canida working there now.
2) Teams preparing to go to Burkina this summer
3) Keep praying for the ok to start construction on our 2nd team center to be given by govn’t officials.
4) Pray for famine and famine relief efforts. CMA posted an article about the situation -- see
http://www.cmalliance.org/news/2012/01/20/alliance-church-agency-to-aid-2000-burkinabe-families/

If you have more questions about the famine, please contact us.

PRAY for Pete’s next trip: This Sat. Feb. 4 – Sat. Feb. 11
This is an Envision conference that will gather Envision personnel from around the world. To be introduced and discussed will be our (Envision’s) vision for expansion, our website, and our financial system. Pray for
1)Safety and health (Pete is walking on a brace now, without a crutch!!)
2)Networking and meeting new site leaders. It is important that Pete get to know site leaders and have an understanding of their vision, so he can better represent them as he travels around the US and connects churches and individuals to sites.

***We have Envision sites in Taiwan, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, Middle East, Paris, Gabon, Burkina, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru, Ecuador, Belize, Chicago, Haiti, and the DR.

3)Continue to pray for the kids and I at home esp. with Pete gone.

OUR KIDS UPDATE:
Going back to school was hard after such a nice Christmas vacation and special family times. Though having a broken foot wasn’t fun, the kids reaped some benefits by having their dad around for a chunk of time. It’s been great!

School is going well for both children. Charity has taken leaps in certain areas. We are still waiting for Sammy’s tests to come back. Please pray that he is placed in a program that will be more challenging for him.

OUR SUPPORT:
As we are on an extended home ministry assignment, and are still working for Envision, we are still in need of monthly support. This support not only goes towards medical & retirement expenses, and our monthly allowance, but also our ministry expenses... which have become greater now that Pete is traveling to conferences and Envision events. We are not keeping up with these expenses. Please join us in prayer that God would supply monthly support to keep up with those expenses. Thanks!

Pete, Alice, Charity and Sammy

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
