Peter and Alice Brokopp
Prayer Letter/Ministry Update
Hi Everyone!
Many of you prayed for our meetings with our STMO director, Matt Peace, our Africa director, Chris Braun, and our field leadership team this past week. THANKS!!! We are all a little more “enlightened” on details of our ministry with STMO. There are still things to be worked out, as in any new venture, but we’ll try to roll with the punches!
Tim and Meredith, Pete’s brother, flew over to describe STMO in Gabon. They were really helpful in answering questions. We had a fun time all together with Matt. Charity enjoyed hanging out with Aunt Mer, and Sammy got some serious soccer time in with Uncle Tim.
One interesting surprise came as a result of this time… We learned that as of December 2010, we will be raising our full support – about $5400 / month (as it stands now). Though we know that God owns the cattle on a 1000 hills, and we know we can trust him, it is hard, especially for the “natural breadwinner,” not to be discouraged. PLEASE pray for encouragement in this area!!
Since the $5400 / month is still over a year away, and since it seems like a daunting amount, I think for now, we are still going to focus on what we are supposed to raise before April of 2010: $2700 / month.
We are so thankful for those of you who have written to say that the Lord has impressed it upon your hearts to give monthly towards this amount. THANKS! That is the encouragement we need! J There are other gifts that seem pretty regular too, thanks to you too! Counting both types of gifts, $1825 is coming in regularly / month, leaving $875 / month! It is more than over halfway!!! (for the first stage)
SO:
1) Thank the Lord for an enlightening week of meetings.
2) Pray against the discouragement above
2) Pray that God would be meet our support needs miraculously (and for our patience!)
3) Pray as we have 2 weeks before Pete goes off on a 2 week quick tour of our churches in the States. We have so many e-mails to finish, pray again for the time and place apart to do it.
4) Pray for Tim and Meredith – while they were here, their home in Gabon was burglarized and they lost a substantial amount of money. Pray they would get it back.
Thanks so much for praying!
And if the Lord is calling you to join our support team (or switch from giving to our ministry to giving to our support), let us know if possible. Checks may be made out to Christian and Missionary Alliance. In the memo, write: STMO Pete Brokopp Support, and send to Michelle Olson, Christian and Missionary Alliance, PO Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.
