BYROM UPDATE - AUG/SEPT 2011

Greetings from Atlanta, Georgia!

THE LAST SIX MONTHS (1ST HALF of 2011)
The last six months have been tumultuous and stressful, as we came back to the States January 12th for an emergency medical furlough. Praise God for opening the door for housing, providing a vehicle and surrounding us with a strong support network. We've seen God's healing hand in so many ways. Kaelah has gotten the best of treatment through several different avenues of help. Our insurance through The Alliance has come through in amazing ways. We've found good care and counsel as a family and couple in dealing with our anxieties and challenges. We've sensed that many, many people have been praying and walking with us through this time.

UPDATE ON MINISTRY IN SARAJEVO
We are excited for what God is doing with our team and our partnering churches in Sarajevo. The Center has been growing in it's ministry and connections as our team continues to serve the community. Over the last six months we've had ten interns helping anywhere from two weeks to three months. The credibility and influence of the Center has continued to grow. We hired our first Bosnian to work with our team. We've also seen our partnering churches in Sarajevo connect into the opportunities available for them through the Center. There are clear inroads being made into the lives of local Sarajevans, for them to see and experience the Gospel of Christ Jesus.

OFFICIAL HOME ASSIGNMENT YEARS
We officially were given a home assignment year into the summer of 2012. Mark will be touring this fall in Wyoming and Montana along with a winter/spring 2012 tour in Washington & Idaho. The girls are all attending public schools this year. Debbie will be "holding the fort" while Mark is touring. We're attending Lilburn Alliance Church and have a good support network around us. Debbie's parents and brother's family live a short distance away from where we are in Atlanta.

KEEP PRAYING FOR KAELAH & HEALING
We're still working through some significant treatments for Kaelah during this year. We're in a longer term care program. Do know we're guarding her privacy, but we need everyone possible standing with us in prayer. We've seen real healing and breakthrough, but there is still more we need to work through.

We're looking forward to connecting to new churches and strengthening ties to the partners all around the U.S. this year.

God bless you all! Thank you for your support and prayers!

PRAYER NEEDS - FALL 2011

THANK YOU FOR PRAYING...
Continue to pray for the deeper healing that needs to take place this year for Kaelah specifically and also for the rest of our family.

- Pray for good connecting for Mark while touring. That the Holy Spirit would guide him during all these speaking opportunities. He'll be visiting over 25 different churches. Mark's desire is to pass along a passion about what God is doing around the world and in Bosnia through the work of the C&MA. The mission theme this year is "BE LIGHT"!

- Pray for the older girls and their adjusting to one more school. Kaelah & Jocelyn are at a huge public middle school. Laura is in the same school and has a great new 4th grade teacher. Pray for good friends and influences into their lives. Pray for all three girls to grow in their faith and to be impacted through youth group and positive friendships at church.

- Pray for us to have patience and persistence in working through treatments for Kaelah and how this affects the whole family. Our desire is to get back to Bosnia Herzegovina even by summer 2012. For this to happen we need significant breakthrough medically.

Thank you for praying and walking with us during this furlough year.

Get Involved...

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
