Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

We are living in the capital of Guinea, West Africa. We are currently in Susu language study and hope to finish within the next couple of months. Nicki has begun homeschooling Isaac in kindergarten and Chad has started a small basketball training ministry to a local school. Nicki also visits the largest hospital here in Conakry (in all of Guinea, actually) once a week to encourage patients and practice her Susu there. We are presently looking for land for the Youth Center our Susu Team wants to build in order to reach the youth of Conakry. At the youth center we will do sports training, computer training and English teaching. We are hoping to have that land soon!

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

Pray Nicki as she is expecting our fourth child in August. We will be traveling to Mali to have the baby in the Koutiala Hospital for Women and Children. Pray for the remainder of her pregnancy.

Pray for us as we ask the government one more time for a land grant for the center. The governmental figures are all new and have recently been replaced. Pray these new officials will have favor on us and this project and see the benefits it could have for Guinea as a country.

Pray for the other land options we have right now to purchase. Land is very expensive here and we need them to come down on their prices, but when they see we are white men, they think we are rich and up their price! Pray that someone would be gracious to us and decrease the price.

Pray for the health of our children. It is always an issue here in Guinea, as something is always ailing at least one of them. Andrew, our second son has some allergy/asthma problems especially in rainy season from June-October. Please pray for him and that we can keep it under control.
