Timothy and Michele Crouch
Prayer Letter/Ministry Update - August 2009
CROUCH CROSSINGS
August 2009 Crouch Family Prayer Letter
NEW ROLES
Since Tom and Miriam Becker arrived on July 1st to set into the Field Leadership role, we've settled into our new apartment and are readying for new spheres of ministry. We are grateful to have the pace of our life and work slow a bit, and ask your prayers for the Beckers as they take on responsibility for our large team in Russia.
Some of what lies ahead in our work is still coming together, but we ask you to pray for new requests listed in the window below. These regard our ministries this Fall.
LATEST FAMILY NEWS
Recently, we were able to travel to Rostov, Russia, where we first began our ministry in 1995. It was such a joy to be with the pastor's family for the wedding of their daughter, Katya. We were also able to visit the church where we ministered. It was a great encouragement to see this body continuing to grow and seek and serve the Lord. It was a delight to see that they are continuing to faithfully disciple each new believer as they are added to the body.
The boys have all started school again. Please pray for them as they begin the new year. Josh is a senior this year. Please pray for him as he begins applying for colleges and thinking about next year in the states. Anna will be starting her sophomore year at Nyack College. She is doing well, having worked this summer at Nyack. She will be working and running cross-country this fall, while majoring in International Communications.
MISSIONS TRIP FOR JOSH
In the spring Josh will be joining a team going to Uganda to work at the New Hope Children's Home. If you are interested in hearing more about this trip please write to us at tdcrouch@aol.com.
FINANCIAL PARTNERSHIP WITH YOU
Thank you for your regular giving to the Great Commission Fund, which is what keeps us here and keeps the C&MA operating. ~ A helpful way you can support us financially right now is to give to the Great Commission Fund in our name. When you do, 100% of what you give goes toward our support, freeing up other GCF funds to support other missionaries around the world. If you would like to give, please make a check out to the Christian and Missionary Alliance and write "GCF, for the support of Tim and Shelly Crouch" in the memo line and send it to: The C&MA, P.O. Box 35000, Colorado Springs, CO 80935. Or, you can give online by going to www.cmalliance.org
and select "Support".
To fund our specific ministries here in Moscow you can write "Crouch Work Special" or "Crouch Vehicle Special" in the memo line or "Women for Women" if you wish to support the women's or orphanage ministries that we are involved in.
May God bless you!

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer
1. Both of us will be traveling to some other countries in this part of the world as a part of a Probe Team that will study new ministry possibilities for the Alliance. Pray for us as we join the other four members of this team from September 2 - 11.
2. Shelly continues to work with the Moscow Pregnancy Resource Center developing programs and contacts with local women's clinics. Please pray for Lyuba and Sveta as they work closely together each week. Our main prayer request is to find a space where we can open our first office. Please pray that doors for an office space will open soon.
3. The Open Door Church in Moscow is seeking the Lord for ways to minister to the community around them. Please pray for Pastors Dima and Venya as they work to develop outreach -oriented , social ministries that are relevant for our neighborhood and that will best use the gifts and talents of our congregation. Shelly is helping with this.
4. Tim is preparing for a course he will teach in the new Master's Degree Program at the ECMU's Kuban Evangelical Christian University. He'll teach Biblical Theology of Leadership during the first week of October. Please pray for him as he prepares.
5. Tim will be in the US in the latter half of October for some further meetings regarding International Ministries and for the C&MA Board of Directors meeting. Please pray for him as he travels and as he participates in these meetings.
6. We are seeking to give good advice and direction to Alexei Eropkin who is leading and effort of the ECMU churches in Russia to contribute to ministry among Russian-speakers in Israel. Please pray for the beginning steps Alexei is taking through a series of short-term visits, and ask God for provision as ECMU churches consider supporting the Eropkin family's move to full-time ministry in Israel next year.
7. Shelly serves as a board member at Hinkson Christian Academy, which is seeking a new full-time director. Pray for Shelly and this group of representatives from other mission groups as they seek God's person for this role.
8. In the spring Josh will be joining a team going to Uganda to work at the New Hope Children's Home.

Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.
Give.
You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.
Serve.
Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to experience missions firsthand by participating in a short-term missions trip? We want to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
