Paul and Nelda Johnson
Prayer Letter/Ministry Update
Dear Friends,
We have much to thank the Lord in the midst of “life’s not so pleasant” experiences. On October 16th Nelda fell on a city sidewalk resulting in a double fracture of her femur. An excellent surgeon was on hand and that same night she was operated on and now has a hip prosthesis. Even though this was not in our plans we have seen the Lord’s gracious hand working through all of it. We are thankful for the many people who are praying for her. We are also thankful for friends in our neighborhood who have provided meals and for all the encouraging visits, e-mails and cards. After returning home from the hospital, Nelda received this promise from the Lord in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
It was good to have Paul’s two sisters come for a visit at the end of September. They were able to see some of the future project sites for Short Term Teams, meet many of the people who make up our Bible Studies and see and experience Ecuadorian culture. The two weeks that they were here went by very quickly.
Thank you for your prayers in our behalf and for your financial support towards the Great Commission Fund.
Thank you for Living the Call with us,
Paul and Nelda Johnson

Pray.
The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—as a denomination, as churches, and as individuals.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This fund finances our missionaries, allowing them to focus on ministry rather than raising their own support.
