Prayer Letter/Ministry Update

We thank you for your prayers for our family. We have had plenty of cold here in Minnesota but we are doing okay. Both Becca and Philip participated in the Crown Invitational Quiz Meet on the same team and their team took second place in the highest division out of 18 A division teams. It was quite an honor for them to have their team do so well. Anna is finishing a semester in six weeks, which they call Block. Then she begins an internship at an inner city Minneapolis church March 1, which is part of her College major focusing on Child and Family Ministry. It may happen that all three of our kids will be taking classes from Crown College next Fall. We’ll see.

Kathleen and I continue to focus on recovering after two very hard years before we returned to the U.S. in September. It could easily be compared to a “Job/Elijah” experience. We are so thankful to God for the C&MA and for their commitment to give us some time off and the resources to get help while we are home. We are doing better, though there is still plenty of room for progress and growth. Let me mention some praise and prayer requests.

Prayer Requests/Answers to Prayer

Praise:
1. For our kids’ good health and good attitudes as we move ahead in this life together.
2. For the comfortable home God has given us for this year.
3. For the love and care we have received from others since our return to the U.S.

Prayer:
1. That our kids would have the needed energy to finish this school year with enthusiasm.
2. That God will guide Anna and use her to help others during her internship this Spring and Summer.
3. That God will help us prepare for Anna’s wedding August 1, 2009
4. That God will bring deep healing to both Kathleen and I.
