Timothy and Rachel Meier

Stateside

We're back in the US and wanted to let you know how things have been going, how you can pray, and where you can find us!

Our time in the States during these past 7 weeks has been wonderful. We spent a few weeks settling into our home in North Royalton which was so well prepared by our home church here in Ohio, Hope Church. What a huge blessing that has been. The boys have loved running in the yard, playing with the neighbor's dogs, and enjoying life in America. Blaine took 2 weeks of swimming lessons and is now our little fish swimming everywhere there is enough water to throw himself into. Jude is doing great, talking more and more, and enjoying all the spoiling he's getting from the grandparents.

The last week of July was spent speaking at Bible and Missionary Conference at Beulah Beach and then we went to our Home Assignment Ministry Conference in Colorado Springs for 4 days. That was a great time re-connecting with friends and fellow workers. After 2 days back in Ohio, Tim did Rachel's brother Eric's wedding and then we left for a week of vacation in Myrtle Beach. That was really great!

I (Tim) am leaving tomorrow for Paris for 5 days to help with a good friend's wedding. I'm looking forward to seeing our friends, our old house, and preaching at Trinity this coming Sunday.

*Update on Tim's dad: We were blessed to see him preach recently at Hope church about what to do when the bad times come. But, please keep praying. There is not much change (no intestinal function, nothing eaten for 2 1/2 months, still IV nutrition and a peg line) and the days aren't all easy. His example of grace and peace during this very difficult time of suffering continues to parent us so well. Please continue to pray for Gordon.

In September I (Tim) will begin his speaking tour. This year I'll be doing a lot of churches in a somewhat non-traditional format but also speaking and connecting in partnership with ENvision, the Alliance's next generation discipleship, mission, and short term ministry. I'm so excited to share in person about what God is doing in France, in Paris, and how we have seen his hand move. I'm also so encouraged to be able to see how you can be involved in the future of this great ministry in Paris.

Here are the current dates for the fall with a few more to come. Note *If there are two churches listed as with the Interdistrict tour churches, the first one will be where I am on the Sunday. For example, September 16th I'll be at Stow Alliance, 23rd at Hope community, 30th at Freshwater, and 7th at Willard.

August 26th Trinity International Paris
September 7th -9th Hope Church Brunswick
September 16th-22 Stow Alliance Fellowship and Crossroads Alliance (Central District Interdistrict Tour)
September 23rd-29th Hope Community Church (Hudson, Ohio)/Tallmadge Alliance (CD Interdistrict Tour)
September 30th-Oct 6th Freshwater Church (Wadsworth, Ohio)/Lodi Community Church (CD Interdistrict Tour)
October 7th-13th Christian Alliance Church (Willard, Ohio)/ Bellevue Alliance (CD Interdistrict Tour)
October 21st Valley View Chapel (Long Valley, NJ)
October 28th Mendham Hills Community (Mendham, NJ)
November 11th Life on the Vine (Chicago, IL)

There are a few other speaking dates that are still in process and I'll let you know as soon as we get those locked down. This will be the start, hope we can see you at one or more of these locations. Please don't hesitate to ask or write if you have any questions about our ministry this year.

On the Homefront:
Blaine is starting kindergarten here in Ohio next week and really looking forward to it. Rachel will be speaking periodically throughout the fall as well as continuing to take care of our family. We are adjusting well to being back in the States and looking forward to connecting with family and friends.
