Districts and Associations

AboutFamily › Districts & Associations

Since becoming a denomination in 1972, the need for regional organization to facilitate ministry has been great. Over 432,000 members and adherents in over 2,000 churches in the United States currently call themselves Alliance. Shepherding a group that large requires a bit of organization, and that falls to the districts and associations of The Alliance.

The relationship between C&MA churches and their respective districts is defined as constituted authority. In simple terms, this means that Alliance churches have agreed that all legislation passed by the national body through General Council and by one of its district conferences is binding upon that district’s constituent churches. When these legislative assemblies act within the constitution of the movement, their actions are authoritative.

The goal

Our overall goal is to develop healthy people (fully devoted followers of Christ), who come together to build healthy churches (unified as the Body of Christ through the indwelling Holy Spirit), which produce a bountiful harvest (completing Christ’s Great Commission).

This is best developed and organized through regional districts, each as distinct as the people that comprise it. Visit our districts and associations with the links or interactive map below.

Get Involved...

Pray.

The Alliance believes wholeheartedly in the power and necessity of prayer. We cannot “Live the Call Together” unless prayer is central to all we do—in our denomination, in our churches, and in our individual lives.

Give.

You can help build Christ’s Church around the world by donating online to the Great Commission Fund. This central funding vehicle allows our international workers to focus on ministry rather than raising financial support.

Serve.

Is God calling you to full-time service? Do you want to participate in a short-term missions trip and experience missions work firsthand? We’re here to help you connect your passion with God’s purpose.
